George and his family went on holiday most years, most often to Blackpool or Llandudno. He did not drive or have a car, so presumably everyone went by train.
Left: This photo was certainly taken on holiday, and there is a similar one of Cynthia elsewhere in the collection, marked as 1929 when she was aged 7.
