Ramsey Abbey is a ruined abbey, south east of Peterborough and north of Huntingdon. Founded in 989, the abbey prospered until the Dissolution of the Monasteries.  Today, what remains of the abbey forms part of the Abbey School. The abbey Gatehouse, the Almshouses, and the parish church can still be seen.  Stone from the abbey was used to build Caius College, Cambridge, King's College, Cambridge and Trinity College, Cambridge.  It is owned by the National Trust.

Below is a closer view of the gatehouse.  We couldn't go in, as unfortunately it was closed.

Back in the church, just practising "indoor church shots", most of which didn't come out.  This shot, quite well lit I thought, looks back from the altar to the entrance door.
