I found out details about this event on one of the Lincolnshire tourism sites.  This was definitely not a tourist trap - the facilities were nil, not a burger van nor a portaloo in sight!  The purpose of this trip was mainly to try to photograph moving objects -not very hopeful beforehand, but....

Although the day had started off nicely, the weather was getting very cold and dull, and there was a chilly wind starting up.  We were forecast wintry showers, so I got off lightly.

There was a nice atmosphere at this event, it being populated only by husky enthusiasts, who turned out to be a friendly bunch, who would explain anything to you, let you admire their dogs, and they were all cheering on each other.  The done thing is to yell encouragement at the dogs when they are racing, calling their names or just whoop and holler at them, as that gees them up.
