Taken from the road train brochure, this map shows our route, starting at the right hand end, going left as far as Kolimbari where most people got off for the boat trip (dotted line) which we didn't do. Then we continued anti-clockwise round the circle on the left, stopping at Afrata most of the way round, going back to Kolimbari and then back home.

On our way along the coast road, we came upon a couple of lovely churches, which are shown on the "Churches and Shrines" page. Here first is a view of Kolimbari, a little fishing village and port. This picture was taken on a different day, when the weather was getting a bit rough:
The pictures below were taken around the circle on the left of the map, before and after the village of Afrata. They don't show adequately how green that area is, and how much agriculture is going on, from citrus fruits to olive groves, and peppers to courgettes.
