We had been to this resort once before, 12 months ago, and had visited two or three restaurants a few times each. On this holiday we just walked in anonymously, and were recognised each time - every reaction from "have I seen you before" to "hi you guys it's so nice to see you!" Even the travel agent showed a glimmer of recognition when I asked to use his computer for the Internet.
The Cretan people, apart from being so friendly and welcoming, evidently have good memories too, as we didn't leave names or addresses the first time...

Below, our new entertainments manager, on the right, is Stuart, who runs the sports bar "Upstairs at Epi's", with Alex and Alun.
So there are some familiar faces revisited...
